Open Up Source Code for EssenceFM Hardware

All
Hi guys,
I'm a long-time forum member, but I'm posting this anonymously.

Has anyone seen this video about Behringer’s KICK, their new open-source, MPC-style hardware?

It really got me thinking.
I own an EssenceFM (Mk1), which unfortunately never lived up to the software promises Kodamo made.
I bought my MK1 pre-COVID, fully believing in their vision.
As a musician specializing in microtonality, I invested a lot of money into this machine.
For years now, it feels like the EssenceFM has been treated like a stepchild by Kodamo. Feature requests and promises have been shelved or entirely ignored. I’m saying this with a bit of bitterness because my hopes of ever seeing the EssenceFM fully matured, complete, and bug-free have vanished.

So now, I am kindly asking you, Kodamo: why not open up the source code to us for the EssenceFM hardware?
With the help of AI, we as users can gladly engineer our own OS's to bring this beautiful machine to perfection (and share the results right here on your website).

Hi,
What features are you looking for? If you look at firmware history, we made a lot of upgrades since the first version.
About microtunings, you can already load any tuning into EFM with MTS dumps so I'm interested into hearing what could be improved further (maybe onboard editing of these tunings?)
Feature requests and promises have been shelved or entirely ignored.

We never ignore requests, we check how feasible they are, how well they integrate and how much development time it will cost to implement them.
Since you seem to be quite angry about the situation, why not write a list of all the features you want here in this topic?
