Send USB Midi thru Midi Out

Endrick
Hello everyone,

is it possible to route the midi coming in through the Front USB through the Midi Out?

Hi,
This is unfortunately not possible. Theoretically the hardware can do it, so maybe in a future firmware, but it will never be as flexible as dedicated MIDI interfaces which offer many routing options.

Hi ! This feature would be very nice. I have a Radias and it´s so useful send itall the notes with usb cabe and connect the rest of my devices with the thru Din cable. Please consider to improve it in next firmwares. Thx in advance.

Did this ever get implemented? Would be an awesome addition if not.

Actually this thread is for USB midi in to Midi out.....does the USB midi in go out from the Midi Thru already? If so this works for me! Unfortunately my Essence is in another country right now :(
KODAMO
We are currently implementing this in the next firmware.
MIDI from the front USB port will be sent to MIDI Out when the option is enabled.

It cannot be done to the MIDI Thru port because it is a hardware Thru, it is electrically connected to the In port.

That's awesome thanks so much!

Can the Midi In port to still receive things like program changes while using the USB Midi?
Could that be an option if so to send Midi In/USB Midi separately or even combined to the Midi Out?

Wow just saw the new FW, thanks for adding the USB midi in to midi out!
I'm away from my unit (another country) but just curious if the din midi in will carry through as well?

I check another thread and saw this, I'm hoping it will carry through as well as it will greatly simplify my setup :)

The EssenceFM takes both inputs and merges them. Check that there is no MIDI feedbacks if you also have output connected. Try disabling MIDI clock if you send it, also check that you are not sending sysex or other messages that could create issues if they are sent on both ports."

This feature is only for the front USB port. Will see in the future if we can make a more flexible routing
