12 voices possible?
Acidizer | Hi this synth sounds (and looks) extremely beautiful. Highly impressed with the tone, I think it is the only polysynth I would put up there with OBX8 and Super 6. OK is there any chance of 12 voices in future? There is precedent for digital polysynths getting a boost in voice count via FW updates. Would love to know if it is possible. That would make layering much better (6+6 voices) 👍 🧡 |
KODAMO | Hi, Thanks for your message! Yes we worked so hard on the tone aspect, I'm glad you noticed that. Many tricks are used in the MASK1 to give life to the sound but we didn't talk about it yet :) The hardware is very powerful, there is room for 12 voice and other improvements in the future. We don't want to increase polyphony too much though, because it plays a role in sound design and play style, some sounds are meant to be stopped with note stealing otherwise their release would be too long. |
