Restore previously selected patch on startup.

Reyescult
Unless I am mistaken, the EFM MK2 always loads patch A1 on startup.
Please add the ability to reload the last selected patch on startup.
Considering the synth can store over 3,000 presets, this will be very useful.

If there is no battery, maybe it can be stored on a USB drive.
AFAIK, this is how they managed to implemented it on the Waldorf M.

We thought about this a long time ago, but we want to preserve flash memory from wearing out as much as possible. This kind of feature could kill it quickly under certain circumstances (same as using a USB drive). Also we cannot save on shutdown because the EssenceFM has a real power button that simply cuts the power - no way for the system to know when it needs to save a setting. Global settings are saved on page change which works OK because they are just settings, but doing that for the last sounds edited would be much more intensive.

If you use your EssenceFM in short sessions, I suggest leaving it on during extended periods of time (maybe with the screensaver enabled if you want to save power when not in use)

Ok but letting the user choose which patch is loaded at startup?

This is possible
