Mask 1 - will not power on after update
NC Manson | Any other Mask owners with a solution to this? My Mask1 arrived this afternoon - working fine for a few minutes and sounded great I downloaded the 3.5 firmware, followed the update instructions - it is now "blank" - won't power up, no lights, does not show as connected via USB - have turned PC off, no other apps running, nothing! Have sent an email to the support, but maybe others have had the problem before and there is a reset process? |
jbowman | The Kodamo updater notes say if that happens remove the power cable and plug it in again. I think that happened to me, and unplugging and re-plugging in sorted the problem. Worth a try. Good luck! 👍 |
| NC Manson | Thanks - i did try that, to no avail. Stephane at Kodamo talked me through a range of steps, none of which worked - he then showed me how to do a physical reset - i won't describe it here as I wouldn't want people to try it without discussing with Kodamo first - but the good news is that even when it seems to be "bricked" there is a way back! [BTW - i very much enjoyed your youtube videos - indeed, they were what finally convinced me to buy the Mask1 - many thanks for those!] |
