Colundi tuning

sicijk
Hello all, i would like to use the Colundi .scl file to import in EFM. I read that it can import 32 notes on a range of 2octaves. While the Colundi file I found comprises 128 frequencies. What Is the best way to manage this scenario ?
Thanks a lot in advance

Hello,
Currently scala files are supported only up to 32 notes, but for more you can switch to Advanced Tuning mode which allows independent setting of frequencies for all 128 MIDI notes. In that mode the EFM can receive MTS real time tuning data through MIDI. I think there are tools online to convert scala files to MTS tuning sysex data so you can use it

Thanks for your answer!
And once I tuned in advanced mode, then I'm this scenario can be saved and recalled?

I am not sure I understand your last sentence but basically, it works like any other tuning. When on the Tuning page, it is applied to all voices to hear it easily. Outside of that, Voices that you want to use this tuning have to be modified. If you want to set a global tuning for all voices without editing all of them, just replace the main tuning ("Equal") with yours.

Thanks. So the injected tuning gets saved in the list? Just that it brings the synth in Advanced Mode?

Set the tuning to advanced mode beforehands. Then the list will update with frequencies when it receives the MTS MIDI dump.

Hello, I tried but with no success. It should be a mistake by me of course.
I downloaded this scala file: https://tubbutec.de/files/Colundi-full-everyOne.scl

Then I tried to convert it to .syx and ingest it thru BomeSX to EssenceFM, but the frequencies list doesn't update (Midi activity led blinks when I request the send)

SOLVED !

I used another converter this time and the tuning has been received!

BTW I used Scala2MTS on browser.
